Anandamide A naturally occurring arachidonic acid derivative, present in some foods and in mammalian brains, where it acts as a messenger molecule and plays a role in pain, depression, appetite, memory, and fertility.
Antagonist A substance that interferes with or inhibits the physiological action of another.
BHO Butane hash oil –  potent form of cannabis concentrates that comes in various consistencies including budder, shatter, wax and more
Bill C45 Law that legalized recreational cannabis use nationwide in Canada in combination with its companion legislation Bill C-46, An Act to Amend the Criminal Code.
Bill C46 Law that aims to strengthen the criminal law response to both drug- and alcohol-impaired driving
Bioavailability The proportion of a drug or other substance, which enters the circulation when introduced into the body. It has an active effect.
Biofuel A biofuel is a fuel that is produced through contemporary processes from biomass, rather than a fuel produced by the very slow geological processes involved in the formation of fossil fuels, such as oil.
Biomass The total mass of organisms in a given area or volume.
Bioplastic plastic materials produced from renewable biomass sources, such as vegetable oils, corn starch, straw, woodchips, sawdust, recycled food waste, etc. Bioplastic can be made from agricultural by-products such as hemp.
Blockchain Technology that allows digital information to be distributed, but not copied

Bong A bong is a filtration device generally used for smoking cannabis, or other herbal substances.
Buccal A method of administration involving placing a drug between your gums and cheek, where it also dissolves and is absorbed into your blood.
Budder Aerated with bubbles and a waxy consistency, similar to an aero bar, but generally much lighter in colour and opaque.

Corporate Social Responsibility focused on protecting a company’s reputation and mitigating emerging problems.
Corporate Governance is the combination of rules, processes or laws by which businesses are operated, regulated and controlled. This includes the internal and external factors that affect the interests of a company’s stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, suppliers, government regulators and management.

Filter Can be made from different materials. Used in joints to help with the smoking experience
Flavinoids A group of plant metabolites thought to provide health benefits through cell signalling pathways and antioxidant effects.

Flowering The action of producing flowers
Full Spectrum Full spectrum products are associated with the “entourage effect” – this refers to the increased effectiveness of these products due to the different cannabinoids working synergistically.
Germination Germination is the process in which the seeds sprout and the root emerges

Hash press A pollen press can be used to press trichomes from female marijuana plants that have accumulated in a herb grinder, or by some other means, into a solid mass known hashish

Hemp A strain of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products.
