Dr. Ira Price is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine through the Department of Internal Medicine at McMaster University. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons trained in Emergency Medicine, with a Fellowship in Sports Medicine.
For the past nine years Dr. Ira has been a leader in the clinical application of natural pain solutions and Cannabinoid therapeutics. In 2011, Dr. Price opened the first clinic in Ontario dedicated solely to evaluating patients for the use of medical cannabis, called Synergy Health Services. Dr. Price then founded the Medical Cannabis Journal Club of Hamilton; the first accredited Medical Cannabis Journal Club.
Dr. Price’s Medical Cannabis practice has been peer reviewed. His dedication and forward thinking is recognized on the international stage. Relying on evidence-based principles, Dr. Price developed an effective clinical pathway for the evaluation of medical cannabis patients. In 2014, he developed KARE – Kannabis Accreditation, Regulation and Education – a Seminar style personal certification for the medical and lifestyle communities.
Dr. Price is an internationally known lecturer who has educated countless numbers of physicians and patients on the use cannabinoids. His interests lie in the development of protocols for the clinical application of cannabinoids and decreasing the barriers that patients face in accessing Medical Cannabis.
Dr. Price assumed many roles within the growing Cannabis industry; including medical Director and Research advisor for multiple federally approved Licensed Producers. He assists in the development of SOP’s and regulatory standards that would become part these company’s structure.
As of late, Dr. Price started Cannabis Research Associates, a private CRO dedicated to combating the opioid epidemic and advancing cannabinoid therapeutics.
Dr. Price’s extensive knowledge and expertise within the Cannabis market allows him to be a top consultant. His ability to forecast and analyze the Cannabis markets has been critical for Licensed Producers, Investors and Regulatory Bodies.
Dr. Rahim Dhalla is a clinical pharmacist licensed in Ontario, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Hawaii. Dr. Dhalla graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science (MCPHS) – Boston in 2009 with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree and received an MBA from Bryant University in 2012. Upon returning to Ottawa to take over the family-run practice, his father was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. It was through this experience that hybridpharm was born.
Since its inception in 2018, Dr. Dhalla has logged over 3000 cannabis consultation hours helping over 2500 patients use cannabis safely and effectively. Rahim has acted as an expert reviewer for cannabis education programs, presented at various cannabis seminars and partnered with respected organizations such as CHEO to assist in researching cannabis. Dr. Dhalla has additional certifications in non-sterile compounding, immunizations and medical cannabis. Rahim continues to contribute to the community by spreading education and awareness to normalize the use of cannabis as a medicine. Hybridpharm has been featured in Pharmacy Practice and Business and Ontario Pharmacist Association magazines discussing the hybridpharm concept and the future of pharmacy.
Carolina has always been interested in the therapeutic potential of natural compounds and has begun her activities in the Amazon forest developing products derived from extracts of fruits of the region. In the USA, she’s obtained ECFMG certification and extended her studies to cannabis used for medicinal purposes. She is founder of the International Cannabis Academy (InterCan) a Brazilian education company and founder of InterDoc, a hub of professionals with experience related to Cannabinoid Therapy. She has worked in the main production centers in Colorado and California.
She has lived in the US for 10 years, has dedicated 7 years to the cannabis ecosystem and has 5 years of experience in P&D in the area of cannabis, participating in the development of therapeutic products derived from cannabis and custom formulations in Los Angeles for 2.5 years, where she’s worked as technical consultant and medical director. Currently living in Brazil, Carolina’s clinical practice is exclusively dedicated to patients that have indication for cannabis use. She also works in corporate technical consultancy, education and public advocacy, participating in public hearings in the Brazilian Senate, House of Representatives and State Assembly.
